New Website Design If you’ve visited my main website recently, you’ll have noticed lots of changes. Here are the obligatory before and after screenshots:
The website is now fully responsive and works well on anything from low-rezzed 100px wide mobiles, to 8k monster displays and above.
As for compatibility, it’s tested to work on just about every browser imaginable, including IE8 and lower.
The biggest problem I had was creating a table with images that dynamically resized, without over-scaling the images. Maybe I should have used “div,” but it would have required way, way too much very complex code. Besides, tables are still part of HTML5.
Writing As you can see from the book covers, I have also been busy trying to do all the “other stuff” (that doesn’t involve actually writing prose), involved in publishing anything via Amazon’s Kindle Singles programme.
Somewhat naively, I didn’t realise that there was so much of this extra work. Maybe I’ve over-complicated things but I hope, at the very least, that the custom covers now convey a better sense of each story:
Kobar: The Black Tower of Darax-e-Mor is a bloody dark fantasy/sword and sorcery. It is set in the same world as the online game Rider in the Mist:
Sea Glass on a Sea-Less Shore is a standalone contemporary psychological horror:
Both stories, and the game, are aimed at adults.
They will be priced as low as possible and should be good, fun reads.
#RoysRocketRadio: #DoctorWho Marathon 2nd Doctor The Doctor Who content in the podcast continues. I recently finished watching and chatting about the second adventure starring Patrick Troughton. Catch up here.
