Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 2 & 3: Mostly nothing happens, but with a lot of important-sounding talking. Still, strangely quite engaging. Oh, Theon’s useless, traitorous skin is saved in Episode 3, which also ends with slime-bag Jaime getting his sword hand lopped off. Urgh, that left me feeling queasy.
Wreck It Ralph: Retro video game baddie character tries to become a hero. Candy-coated fun. John C. Reilly as the eponymous and Sarah Silverman as his teeny, tiny friend are excellent.
Skyfall: I re-watched this mainly because I wanted to see Bérénice Marlohe again. The movie seemed better the second time round, though the typical boom-bang Bond ending could not have been set in a duller place than a miserable stately house on a big, boring and empty Scottish moor.
Doctor Who, Series 7, Part 2, Episode 3, Cold War: Great setting on a claustrophobic Soviet sub, great cast including David Warner and then an incredibly boring plot ripping off the Alien and X-Files: Fight the Future movies. Let’s hope that, the episode I’m waiting for, Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS (episode 5) turns out better.
Right: Retrotastic David Warner taking a break from enjoying Ultravox on his Sony Walkman in this episode.
