.tek: Easter Egg Gift Sets: Toxic Transfer from Melamine Dinnerware

If, like me, you have received an Easter Egg gift set containing melamine products this weekend, please bear in mind the toxicity of melamine and the possible risks of ingestion. A recent study reported in the LA Times mentions that the American FDA advise against using melamine plates and bowls in the microwave.

But why even entertain even the merest possibility of risk? My Toy Story set, pictured above, is destined to be used to store pens, pencils and other stationery bric-a-brac.

Next year ceramics!
