Gordon Bennett! It seems like only yesterday that Guy Ritchie rebooted Holmes, then Sherlock came to the BBC and now there’s another one! This time Johnny Lee “Sickboy/Zero Cool” Miller and Lucy “Luscious” (just made that one up) Liu take on the Meerschaum-singed mantle of the deductive pair. This time CBS’s Elementary is relocated to present-day New York. Star Trek gone for eons, but Holmes re-re-re-booted. Grrr. It hasn’t been aired yet in the UK, so I can’t comment on quality, but even if it isn’t horrible- come on! How about something totally ORIGINAL? Elementary started in the US about a month ago and you can catch it here on Sky Living tomorrow. Please let me know what you think of it. According to Wikipedia, there’s been a bit of friction between Hartswood Films (Sherlock) and CBS. I think that somewhere Moriarty is mwah-ha-ha-ing.

“Who the Hell is the Captain anyway?”—Roy Mathur
“The Captain is not an adventurer, rock star and supervillain with a penchant for G&Ts, C7H10N4O2 and insanely loud music. His exploits do not usually involve arriving just in time to save the multiverse (or thoroughly bugger it up) in a Vimana shaped like a wardrobe. And, contrary to the wanted posters, he is certainly not a multi-tentacled cyborg from the 27th dimension.”—Anonymous
“Finally an honest review…great!”—Shayne T. Wright
