First Run: #Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, #Review, No Spoilers

Wow, a fitting end to Christopher Nolan’s trilogy.  Anne Hathaway great as Catwoman, Tom Hardy- not as terrible as I thought he’d be as Bane and, as always, Christian Bale brings it as Batman (or any other role he puts his mind too).  Also look out for Nolan stalwart Joseph Gordon-Levitt giving a decent performance as Officer Blake. Oldman and Caine- excellent as always, in fact, I can’t even think of one bad performance in the whole film. Gadgetry, CGI all good. Gods, this is a boring, suck-up of a review. The verdict? 5 chainsaws, just go see it!

And when they reboot it, I’ll be there too…

Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh, duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh, duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh, Batman!  Batman!  Batman!

Note, I saw this in 2D, saved myself some money and still enjoyed myself.  I think 3D is currently being misused.  Just having something poke out the screen at you is naff and has been around for donkeys.  I want 3D to be a completely new, totally immersive medium.  Until we get that I’m sticking to 2D, leaving the ridiculous special glasses at home and knocking a third off my ticket price.
