.tek: Review: Griffin Aircurve Play- Passive iPhone Amp/Stand

Just snagged this on sale at Tescos for £6.97 today.

It’s a passive amplifier/stand for the iPhone 4/4s.  Griffin make some amazing and ridiculously grandiose claims on their web site about how the thing “is based on some very advanced technology”.  Please!  It’s an ear-trumpet for an iPhone!

Still, despite the high-falutin’ nonsense from Griffin’s idiotic marketing department, it really is a wonderfully useful piece of kit.  It amplifies the speaker of the iPhone many times over, uses no power, works well as a stand and looks damn fine too.  This is probably the best 3rd party accessory I have bought for my iPhone so far.

Rating: 4 chainsaws.
